Ministry says Russia’s GDP fall slows down to 4.1% in August
MOSCOW, Sep 29 (PRIME) -- Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) fall slowed down to 4.1% in annual terms in August after 4.3% in July, the Economic Development Ministry said in a research note late on Wednesday.
"In August, economic activity was supported by continued growth in the extractive industries and construction, as well as improved dynamics in agriculture," the note read.
The ministry said that in January–August the economy contracted by 1.5% on a year.
